The Wright Race-Compton is an annual fundraising event hosted by Dennis Wright A & T, aimed at raising scholarship funds for recent high school graduates. The event also includes a community beautification projects including edible garden and mural installations. This event promotes and supports community engagement, educational advancement, environmental stewardship and local economic development.
Community Cookouts
The Urban Community Cookouts are an opportunity for us to connect with the community to have meaningful conversations while enjoying a good meal together. This event is hosted by our newsletter team, conversations are designed to teach the community various topics.
Urban Parks Renewal
Many parks in urban areas are neglected and serve as sources of despair rather than the vibrant community gathering places that they should be. In efforts to restore the effective power of our parks, we have launched a renewal project that aims to beautify and activate public parks.
